MTQ and TQ Writing
Most SES announcements require Technical Qualification narratives alongside your ECQs. We write each MTQ or TQ with you in a working session with a senior SES writer, matched to the language of your announcement.
What the announcement is asking for
A Mandatory Technical Qualification is the agency’s own test: a narrative, usually one page, proving specific technical expertise the position requires. Announcements list them as MTQs, TQs, PTQs, or DQs, and a rating panel scores each one separately from your ECQs.
A strong TQ follows the same discipline as an ECQ: a real accomplishment, told with context, actions, and results, in the vocabulary of the announcement. A weak one restates the resume and stalls the application.
