Certification Information
Completion of this in-depth course entitles you to use the recognized Certified Federal Job Search Trainer® and Certified Federal Career Coach® designations for your bio and agency workshop listings.

What the certification gives you
During your certification period and any recertification period, you receive the following benefits.
A license to teach the Ten Steps
Teach the Ten Steps to a Federal Job® and use the PowerPoint presentations for the Jobseeker’s Guide 10th Edition, Ten Steps to a Federal Job, The Stars are Lined Up for Military Spouses, and Ten Steps to a Pathways Internship.
The CFJST and CFCC credentials
Use the Certified Federal Job Search Trainer® and Certified Federal Career Coach® logos on your business card, website, and other marketing materials, pursuant to Resume Place’s CFJST and CFCC Logo and Materials Usage Agreement.
Curriculum support
Direct access to our trainers and staff for curriculum questions during your certification period.
HOW CERTIFICATION WORKS
Three requirements, three years.
Attend the classes
Attend the five 3.5-hour online classes or the 3-day live program.
Sign the license agreement
Review and sign the CFJST and CFCC license agreement upon completion of the classes.
Recertify every three years
The certification is valid for three years. 2026 participants hold a valid certification until Sept. 30, 2029.
CREDENTIAL VALUE
A credential agencies recognize.
The Ten Steps program is pre-approved for continuing education, licensed for three years at a time, and finishes with a personalized, full-color certificate.
