Ten Steps Curriculum and Videos
The Ten Steps to a Federal Job® curriculum was developed by Kathryn Troutman in 2002, right after 9/11, to train and inspire jobseekers to pursue a federal position. This friendly, easy-to-follow curriculum is taught by Certified Federal Job Search Trainers in more than 200 military bases, state one-stop centers and university career centers worldwide.
A true campaign strategy
Step by step, a jobseeker can go through the USAJOBS system, write the correct federal resume, and track and follow up on their applications. Our goal is to teach you how to teach your jobseekers how to land a federal career.
Eleven videos were created and produced in 2018. A one-minute video opens each step of the Ten Steps PowerPoint, including the introduction. They are very popular and fun.
